You can often rent camera equipment from libraries, but if this isn’t an option, you may want to consider buying a new or used camera. Even cameras from a few years ago will be more than good enough for the majority of video projects and you may be able to get one at an affordable price if you buy it refurbished.

It’s also a good idea to invest in a professional editing program. The Adobe suite is decent for beginners and you can get it with a monthly subscription.
